Bank transfer: the slow method that always works

A bank transfer moves money directly between your bank account and the operator. It is usually the slowest method and also the most universal: nearly every operator accepts it for withdrawals, including when you deposited with a method that cannot receive money back. Depositing by transfer

Choose "bank transfer" in the cashier and enter the amount in lei.
You get payment details: beneficiary, IBAN and, crucially, a unique reference.
Send the transfer from your banking app with the reference exactly as given.
The money appears once the payment is identified; without the reference, that can take a long time.

Some operators offer an instant version through online banking (see Trustly), where you do not copy details by hand.

Withdrawing by transfer

A request goes through the operator's internal review, then payment processing, then your bank. That is why transfers are slower than e-wallets. Make sure the IBAN in your account is in your name; a name mismatch blocks the payment.

Hidden costs

Your bank's fee for incoming or outgoing payments, especially international ones.
Currency conversion, if the operator receives payments in a currency other than lei.
The operator's fee, if any, shown in the cashier.

Illustrative example: an international transfer with a fixed 20 lei fee costs 5% on a 400 lei withdrawal and 0.5% on 4,000 lei. For small sums, fixed fees matter a lot.

Transfers and bonuses

Bank transfer is rarely excluded from promotions, unlike some e-wallets. If you deposit by transfer for a bonus, still check the promotion minimum and whether the bonus is applied after the payment is identified or only to instant deposits. Work out the bonus value on wagering requirements.

Safety

Never send money to an IBAN received by private message, unsolicited email or social media chat. Correct payment details appear only in your account's cashier. If in doubt, check the operator's licence on onjn.gov.ro before any transfer.
