How net loss is measured

Usually: deposits − withdrawals − balance left at the end of the period. Some operators instead count lost bets minus wins, and some exclude bets placed with bonus money. The exact definition is in the terms, and it matters: if bonus bets are excluded, cashback covers only real-money play.

Cash cashback versus wagered cashback

Illustrative example, not a Powerbet offer: you lose 900 lei net in a week and cashback is 8%, so 72 lei.

No wagering: 72 lei in cash, withdrawable at once. Value: 72 lei.
5x wagering: you bet 360 lei; on a 96% RTP slot the expected loss is 14.40 lei, so the average value is 57.60 lei.
25x wagering: you bet 1,800 lei, expected loss 72 lei, average value zero.

The same "8% cashback" can be worth 72 lei or nothing. Always ask whether it is paid in cash or as a bonus.

A minimum loss below which nothing is paid.
